Meet Magen Hampton

 

Hey there! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a Bronx-born, Buford-raised Taino. I'm all about learning and loving all creation that is ready to receive, you know? When new information or perspectives arise how we speak to our self influences that chain reaction so I began intentionally living to appreciate the process to progress,

How I transformed my career? 

I've always had that entrepreneurial spirit in me. I started working for myself at the tender age of 12. But, like many others, I succumbed to the generational fear and ended up in corporate America. I worked in various positions, and my last gig was in Workforce Management. Can you imagine me micromanaging?

That lasted 12 years and then something inside me snapped. I gave my manager a two-week notice and  I knew deep down that I wanted to pursue my passions. So, as I training to become a life insurance agent, I did some soul-searching, and narrowed it down to three things: dancing, coaching, and speaking. From my list of passions I knew I had to move on!

That's when I decided to become a Zumba instructor. And let me tell you, in just one year, I was teaching everywhere! Big box gyms, golf club communities, private gyms – you name it. I absolutely loved the thrill and energy of it all. Five classes a day, three to four times a week? Yep, sign me up. I was living my best life, diving headfirst into my passions.

My free time I studied neuroscience, spiritual awareness and our connection with energy. I devoted my energy and time to my thought patterns, my shadows, my light. Then wrote out what I was learning, how it was making me feel emotionally and physically. I dove so deep I needed some balance in my life to truly appreciate this shift in consciousness..

I've developed various techniques, strategies, and rituals to release what no longer serves me and attract what's meant for me. Some days are a breeze, others not so much. But hey, every single day I'm getting better. And that's what counts, right?
